So what do I personally think about TBC?, and why did I do this web site as a tribute ?

I'm a child of the 80's, no doubt about that, and I was rasied on movies like TBC, Ferris, anything John Hughes!, WarGames, Back to the Future etc, so natually I'm a big fan and have fond memories of them. For the record TBC is not my favourite film *gasp*, it would have to Ferris followed closely by the BTTF trilogy.

Actually, looking back on it from an adult 90's perspective, TBC is pretty corny and even somewhat embarressing when viewed with others in public!. I had the joy of seeing TBC on an outdoor screen under the stars in Centenial Park in Sydney in early '99, and there were more than a few cringes and "Oh my god, look at those clothes and that dancing!" remarks during the film!. Yes the clothes are very 80's, the dancing is very 80's, the dialogue is very 80's but this movie DEFINES the 80's so it has to be those things, I think that's what makes it a great movie.

So why did I do this web site if TBC isn't my fav film ?. Well, I got myself a video capture device and wanted to give it a good workout, so I got the idea to do an 80's site with Ferris or BTTF but they were all taken, so I looked around and the only 80's movie that wasn't well catered for was TBC. So here it is, just something threw together on a weekend, hope you like it!
